The Opportunity
New challenges and opportunities are quickly reshaping financial services, therefore we are looking to strengthen our Compliance team with a Business Analyst Consultant in Compliance (between 2 and 6 years of experience).
As a consultant, you will support banks in delivering regulatory-driven transformations and improving end-to-end compliance processes (e.g., AML/KYC, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, client onboarding, reporting and controls). You will help translate regulatory expectations into clear business requirements and pragmatic solutions, ensuring both business value and compliance-by-design.
Your key responsibilities:
Joining our Banking Transformation team involves collaborating with clients to design innovative digital business strategies, utilizing advanced research techniques to collect important client insights, and creating strategic plans to improve customer experiences. You will play a crucial role in growing our competence team and contributing significantly to NORRIQ’s success.
As Compliance Business Analyst Consultant, you will:
Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Operations, IT and business stakeholders to conduct interviews and workshops, map compliance processes and identify gaps, pain points and improvement opportunities in line with regulatory and strategic objectives.
Translate regulatory needs and internal policies into business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria; ensure alignment across stakeholders and delivery teams.
Support target operating model and process redesign initiatives (e.g., onboarding/KYC, periodic reviews, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, regulatory reporting, record keeping), balancing customer experience, efficiency and control requirements.
Conduct impact assessments and feasibility analyses for regulatory changes and transformation initiatives (scope, data, process, systems, controls, governance).
Contribute to the definition and optimisation of controls, KPIs, quality checks and monitoring approaches to improve effectiveness and auditability.
Develop and present business cases supporting compliance and transformation initiatives (risk reduction, cost/effort, benefits and implementation roadmap).
Work closely with agile delivery teams and seamlessly integrate into project teams, taking on roles such as Business Analyst / Process Analyst (and, depending on context, Product Owner support).
Support testing activities (test strategy, test cases, UAT coordination), ensuring delivered solutions meet compliance, business and operational requirements.
Support change management: stakeholder communication, training support, rollout planning and ensuring adoption of new processes and tools.
