The Opportunity
NORRIQ is seeking an experienced Project Leader to support one of our clients in Brussels. In this role, you will lead mid-scale transformation initiatives, ensuring strong coordination between Business and IT, structured project governance, and high-quality delivery aligned with strategic objectives. You will act as the central point of accountability for planning, execution, communication, and stakeholder alignment.
Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Governance
Lead projects end-to-end, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and quality expectations.
Define objectives, priorities, and roadmaps in collaboration with Business and IT stakeholders.
Establish clear governance, reporting structures, and decision-making processes.
Provide regular, structured progress updates to Management and ensure stakeholder alignment.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
Ensure smooth collaboration between Business teams, IT, and external partners.
Communicate project status, risks, and milestones in a clear and efficient manner.
Facilitate workshops, steerco meetings, and alignment sessions.
Build a strong team spirit and foster a collaborative working environment.
Planning & Delivery Oversight
Drive project planning, prioritization, and resource coordination.
Anticipate risks, remove blockers, and ensure continuous progress.
Oversee acceptance testing phases and ensure readiness for implementation.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
Ensure the quality and consistency of functional and technical deliverables.
Contribute to process and application improvements across the organization.
Maintain comprehensive and structured project documentation.
Your Profile
Experience
5 to 8 years of experience in Project Leadership within Financial Services, Insurance, or complex IT environments.
Proven track record of delivering business-driven and technology-enabled projects.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and development life cycles.
Leadership & Organizational Skills
Excellent planning, prioritization, and coordination capabilities.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to align diverse stakeholders.
Structured, proactive, and quality-driven mindset.
Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans.
Business & Delivery Understanding
Experience managing requirement analysis, solution alignment, and testing coordination.
Understanding of insurance or financial services processes is an asset.
Familiarity with business architecture principles is a plus.
Technical Environment Awareness
Comfortable working with IT teams and translating business needs into deliverables.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel).
Basic knowledge of SQL or data querying is advantageous.
Education
University degree or Professional Bachelor.
Ideally a Master’s degree in Information Science, Management, or Industrial Engineering.
Languages
English: Good to Fluent (mandatory).
Dutch and/or French: Professional proficiency required (at least one mandatory).
